Michaela Kerr, owner of Just Sew Simple is a self-taught crafter who specialises in personalised embroidery and bespoke gifts. Prior to opening the store she worked from home following a medical retirement in 2017.
The idea to open a shop where you could rent a sewing space came from speaking to other crafters and their battles with space and money for their hobby or small business. Michaela hopes to encourage people to try new hobbies and find their own release from the pressures of modern life.

Michaela retired from Lothian and Borders Police/Police Scotland in 2017 after 30 years service both as a police officer and initially a volunteer.
